Adding new artwork to your space can completely change the look and feel. A popular trend right now is using black and white nostalgic photography artwork.
This can be a fashion icon like Karl Lagerfeld and Yves Saint Laurent, a movie icon like Paul Newman, or an actress like Brigitte Bardot.
I personally LOVE the Marilyn Monroe Saatchi Art newspaper prints which are so fun and super cool.
The beautiful thing about working with black and white photography artwork is that you can go neutral or add in any pop color.

Photography Artwork Details
1. “Yves Saint Laurent”
Yves Saint Laurent, French designer with two fashion models, Betty Catroux (left) and Loulou de la Falaise, outside his ‘Rive Gauche’ shop.
Perfect for a gallery art wall or alone in the larger size.
2. BEAUTY AND THE BEAST
1959—Lady Daphne Cameron (Mrs. George Cameron) on a tiger skin rug in the trophy room at socialite Laddie Sanford’s home in Palm Beach, Florida.
I love everything about this so I included it again.
3. Marilyn In Grand Central Station
New York, March 24: Actress Marilyn Monroe takes the subway in Grand Central Station on March 24, 1955 in New York City, New York.
Considering the NYC subway system shut down at night for cleaning, during Covid for the first time in history, this print is very fitting.

4. Audrey Hepburn 3
Love this technique and artwork so much I included it more than once!
5. KARL LAGERFELD AND YVES SAINT LAURENT
CAUGHT IN A MOMENT. Karl Lagerfeld and Yves Saint Laurent ring in the wedding of Paloma Picasso and Rafael Lopez Sanchez in Paris, 1978.
This brings me back to my Fashion Design FIT days.
6. BARDOT POSES
Captured by photographer Leonard De Raemy in 1967, the iconic French actress Brigitte Bardot poses mid-scene while filming ‘Two Weeks in September” on beach in North Berwick, Scotland.
I think this is just a cool vibe shot!
7. Marilyn- Butterflies 3
Clearly I love this newspaper printed art with the colorful butterflies!
8. Breakfast at Tiffany’s poster- Audrey Hepburn
Another great one for a black & white photography gallery wall.
9. Paul Newman, Venice
Photographer Archivio Camera snapped this shot of American actor Paul Newman in 1963 during a water taxi excursion with Venice’s St Mark’s Square in the background.
Just a cool dude and my dad LOVED watching his movies!
10. Marilyn Monroe – Edition of 80
Another newspaper print artwork. Clearly I’m obsessed with these.
Love the pastel colors.
11. Pink Accessory
Film star Joan Collins in a pink and white bedroom with an accessory pink poodle, circa 1955.
Because Pink is my favorite color after Black of course!
Hope this post gave you some inspiration for your next design project.
Have an amazing day full of Unicorns & Rainbows!
