The image above is the bathroom sconces we chose for our project. We also added a flush mount fixture and shower light in addition to the modern sconces. This provides the perfect amount of lighting no matter the activity.
If you are putting on makeup, doing your hair, showering, or just using the bathroom there is plenty of lighting for every task.
After researching the many gold wall sconces we chose the Midnight LED Outdoor Wall Sconce by George Kovacs from Lumens.
Black and gold are the accent colors in our white bathroom makeover. They add the perfect contrast to the neutral bathroom design.

The designer wall sconces I really LOVED were the above by Arteriors. Since they were twice the amount of the modern wall sconces we went with… it was not happening. We had to cut back somewhere!
Wall sconces are easy to change out so I know I can always change them later.
When you are sticking to a budget the best way to get an elevated look is by mixing high and low. That’s what we did in our bathroom remodel and it turned out fantastic.

When You Know Better You Do Better
The typical height for living rooms is between 60 to 72 inches from the floor. In the bathroom, the typical sconce height is between 65 and 70 inches from the floor.
In the bathroom, hang sconces 36 to 40 inches apart. Flank the mirror about 18 inches from the sink’s centerline. If the sconces have shades, put the bottom edges of the shades a little below eye level (60 to 68 inches from the floor).
The sconce should be no less than 6 inches and no more than a foot and a half away from wall art. Remember to take into consideration the width of the sconce.
