One of my favorite DIY costumes to date was the Black Swan which was super quick and easy to create.
With so much uncertainty these days, I think it is nice to have something to look forward to like the holidays specifically Halloween!
At this point even if you just dress up for the day at home it could be fun since who knows what Halloween is going to look like this year.

DIY Black Swan Halloween Costume:
When my friend Karla suggested I be the Black Swan for a Halloween Party I was going to I fell in love with the idea.
Naturally I googled and YouTubed “How To” DIY my costume.
I found a makeup tutorial online and also a YouTube video.
Both are linked up for your reference because if you are like me the visual will definitely help!
Here are both sides of the way my makeup came out.
Not bad considering I just went for it without a practice run.
For the corset part of the costume I attached feather trim at the edge.
Here is a closeup of how that came out.
I actually layered the shimmer tutu over the black tutu for extra coverage AND wore spandex shorts underneath.
I put my hair in a bun, threw on a black tiara and ballet flats to complete the look.
Honestly the hardest was the makeup and that was pretty easy.
If you don’t have sewing skills don’t worry because that part was done by hand so you can totally do it!
Here’s a picture of my husband and I during the night.
He was a robber which is another super easy costume to recreate.
Let me know in the comments what your Halloween plans are this year.
Have an awesome day full of Unicorns + Rainbows!
