When you exercise daily for yourself and the health benefits that’s when you’ll finally stick to a routine. If you are just doing it for your next vacation, to get that date, to impress someone or because the summer is coming YOU WILL NOT stay consistent.
You have to get yourself to a place where you love yourself enough to set aside 15-20 minutes (to start) each day to work out just because it feels good.
Trust me… that’s the game-changer.
Also, keep in mind that it’s 80 percent diet and 20 percent exercise so if you don’t change both it will not be effective.

Here is a 14-day yoga routine you can start on YouTube right now from your home.
There is also a 14-day Meditation practice that will help you stay the course. If you have never meditated be patient with yourself and give it time.
It will feel weird and woo-woo at first but it will change your life if you stick with it every day. You will get in tune with your thoughts and creativity. Another benefit is learning to stay in the present moment and just be still.

1. Cork Yoga Mat
This is a must-have for any practice. I have found it important to have a nonslip mat especially when you are doing harder poses. Having stability underneath your feet is key to your yoga success.

While I don’t tend to sweat during my practice many do, especially if they are doing hot yoga or pilates. My son used to do this during the wrestling season to drop the extra pounds of water weight and a towel was a necessity.

Steps to Smudging Your Space
- Clean your space (this helps the sage travel better)

- Set an intention before you begin
- Light the sage and keep a vessel or small plate underneath
- Start at your front door and walk counter-clockwise around your space
- Start in the lowest part of your home and work your way up
- Fan the smoke using a feather as you move through your space
- Focus on corners as they tend to hold toxic negative energy
- After you are done light a candle and go through your space to bring in positive energy
As you walk through your space you want to ask the negative energy to leave. You can create your own mantra but this is what I like to say:
“Any energy that is negative and not of my greatest good get the f@*k out with love, you are not welcome to stay here. Please leave out the open door and window.”
Change that up to fit your own needs. It’s meant to give you an idea of what to say.
6. Yoga Inspiration
I was very tempted to put the inhale-exhale wall decal we have in the Airbnb but I just felt this was more appropriate.
So often we hold onto resentment and anger from the past when we truly just need to let that sh@t go. Realizing that I can ONLY change myself has been a game-changer in my life and helped me let go of the need to control.
