Seasonal Decor at Pottery Barn

Seasonal decor is one of the easiest ways to update your home for fall. Personally, I like to keep it subtle. Botanicals are my favorite. Even swapping out stems in a vase you already own can instantly add a fall vibe without going overboard.

If you love going all out, Pottery Barn has tons of options from candles, bowls, dishware, and mugs. My top pick? The handmade lantern pumpkins in black or terracotta.

They’re textural, organic, and elevated. While they’re an investment, Walmart has a set of three pumpkins under $50 for a similar vibe.

I also spotted some chic gold pumpkins in the store. If you can’t find them online, Target and Walmart have affordable options.

Other fun touches include ghost-shaped pillows (dog and cat versions too!) and pumpkin-shaped pillows in boucle or fur. You only need one to keep it chic instead of cluttered.

Designer Tip: Less is more with seasonal decor. Invest in a few timeless pieces that can stay in your home well beyond fall.

Pottery Barn Fall Pillows & Throws

Textiles are a quick, low-commitment way to change your look for the season. Pottery Barn has new quilted velvet pillows. They’re a blend of the classic velvet with a boucle vibe. Perfect for texture and depth.

Linen pillows are another great choice. They soften earthy fall colors in a way that feels fresh and natural. To save money, I recommend matching the color palettes from Pottery Barn and then buying Amazon pillows for a fraction of the price.

Of course, nothing feels cozier than a fur throw blanket. Pottery Barn’s version runs about $170, but you can often find similar styles at HomeGoods for $30. Toss one over your sofa or into a woven basket for that designer, lived-in look.

Pottery Barn Area Rugs

Rugs anchor a room and can completely transform it. Right now, brown is trending, and you can try it with rugs, pillows, or accent chairs.

One standout piece: Pottery Barn’s blue and ivory rug ($1,000). Want the look for less? Walmart has a similar option for under $260.

Want more color? Pottery Barn also showcased a rug full of warm, earthy tones. It’s perfect to use as the jumping-off point for your seasonal color scheme. It transitions beautifully from fall to spring.

👉 Question for You: Are you loving the brown trend, or sticking to lighter neutrals this year?

Accent Tables at Pottery Barn

Pottery Barn usually leans traditional, but their contemporary pieces are my personal favorites. I love the new round concrete accent table ($250). It has clean lines, a neutral travertine finish, and is perfect next to a chair or sofa.

For classic lovers, the gold and marble side table (three finishes) is timeless.

Budget-friendly? Their round metal drink table ($150) is small but versatile. Move it anywhere you need a surface. Magnolia ($130) and Target ($100) offer similar styles, but honestly, the Pottery Barn version is still worth it.

New Table Collections

The Mayfair collection (coffee, side, console tables) is one I’d pass on. The basketweave detail feels trendy and will collect dust.

Instead, check out the Alden collection. Clean lines, modern look, and a larger scale (58×34 coffee table vs. Mayfair’s 48×22). Both the coffee table and console are priced just under $1,000. Yes, it’s an investment, but it’s also timeless.

For small spaces, the Everson collection (glass + metal, three finishes) is fabulous. I love the Brass metal finish, but they’re all great. Glass keeps rooms open and lets your rug shine.

They also launched a narrow metal bookcase. It’s great for small spaces. Pottery Barn’s is $900, but Amazon has a similar version for $165.

Pro Tip: Always order fabric swatches for upholstery, and don’t forget wood samples for tables. Pottery Barn sells them for $25, refundable within 30 days.

Pottery Barn Accent Chairs

Accent chairs are an instant refresh. Pottery Barn styled green leather swivels with rugs for fall, but you can also go blue or neutral.

Green Leather Accent Chairs

Their ivory swivel chair is versatile and comfy, but costs $1,000–$2,000 depending on fabric. For a similar look, I found one under $300 that comes in six colors, including pink and cornflower blue.

Brown velvet is also trending. Not my go-to, but Pottery Barn’s new version is gorgeous. They had it paired with a gold floor lamp for a luxe vibe.

Pottery Barn Lighting

Lighting makes or breaks a room. Pottery Barn’s task floor lamps run about $400, but you can find similar styles at Walmart and Amazon for $100 or less.

The floor table lamp combo ($500) is perfect for small spaces. Looks for less start around $150.

Trend Tip: Angled lamp shades (flat or pleated) are everywhere right now. Swapping just the shade can update your lamp instantly.

Overhead lighting also matters. Pottery Barn’s traditional chandelier is $900, but I found a nearly identical one on Amazon for half the price. Prefer modern? Their glass disk chandelier ($1,600) is a statement piece.

Finally, don’t skip table lamps. The marble version ($200–$300) is sleek and modern, while the ceramic distressed lamp works beautifully for an organic vibe.

Pottery Barn Sofas Worth the Splurge

A sofa is the longest-lasting piece you’ll buy. Most people keep one for 8–15 years. That’s why I recommend investing in a neutral sofa.

Big Sur Sectional Sofa

  • Big Sur Sofa: Relaxed, transitional, or contemporary. Multiple fabrics, sizes, and configurations.
  • York Sofa: Perfect for traditional homes, with slope arms and a customizable bench seat.
  • Pearce Sofa: Choose between track arms (modern) or roll arms (classic).

👉 My pick for worth the splurge: the Big Sur. It’s versatile, timeless, and truly a Pottery Barn classic.

Final Thoughts on Pottery Barn Fall Decor

So those are my top picks from the Pottery Barn Fall Decor 2025 collection. The seasonal updates, timeless furniture, and even one sofa I think is worth the splurge.
