Bathroom Toilet Cleaning Essentials
A clean bathroom is a must-have, so don’t skimp here. Guests will appreciate the extra effort. If you get that annoying yellow ring or mark, then you need a pumice stone.
I recently purchased this for our main bathroom toilet, and it worked fabulously. I can’t even begin to tell you how well it worked!
You will need to scrub but trust me it’ll be so worth the effort. There’s nothing better than knowing your money was well spent.
Guests will appreciate a clean toilet along with the rest of the Airbnb space. It’s the little things that’ll make a big difference and go a long way.
Dusting
Since dust accumulates over time, it’s a great idea to wipe down moldings, fans, appliances, and tables regularly. This will make it much easier to maintain and less work in the long run.

Extra Airbnb Cleaning Tips
- Even if you have hardwood/tile floors, you also need a vacuum cleaner. Sweeping the floors just moves all the dust and hair around the room.
- When cleaning the toilet, you MUST clean the entire bowl (top to bottom).
- In addition, you need a minimum of 2 sets of sheets per bed as well as 2 duvets (if that’s what you use).
- Make sure you also have a lint roller. Clean sheets can have hairs clinging to them so you’ll need to remove them.
- 3 sets of towels at a minimum are required. You’ll always need extra towels as these get damaged easily.
- When it comes to supplies, you’re going to use a lot of toilet paper. Stock up! The same goes for hand soap, shampoo/conditioner (if you provide that as well), and garbage bags. You do not want to run out of garbage bags.
If you hire a cleaner, I suggest you clean your own space now and then.
Doing so will give you a sense of the quirks to get the space ready. It’ll also be good to check in on the quality of your sheets, towels, supplies, etc.
The best way to keep the standards high is to clean your own Airbnb on occasion.
