- Look at “Customer Photos”. Having a visual of the sofa in actual living spaces will help you determine the end look. If you find a customer photo on Instagram send them a DM and ask the customer how they feel about their sofa purchase.
- Note important dates on the website. Specifically, look at the “in-stock date” or “ship date”. Sofas can take anywhere from 8 weeks to ship and as much as 12 weeks to manufacture. Custom sofas are usually started after the order is placed so the process takes time.
- Review the return policy and ASK QUESTIONS before you place the order. Buying a sofa online can be scary but only if you don’t know what to expect. Each company has its own return policy so make sure you understand the terms and conditions. Many companies will charge for return shipping which can be expensive. Sometimes it’s cheaper to resell an item on your own than to pay the return fees.
