Modern Nursery Ideas
Designing a nursery is one of the most exciting things during the pregnancy journey. Those who know the sex of the baby may be thinking pink for girls and blue for boys.
That’s the traditional thought but if you’ve found this blog you know we don’t do traditional! Not even for a baby nursery design.
If you’ve been looking at Pinterest for inspiration you probably saw all the updated modern nursery ideas. Many are black and white, neutral, or the colors of nature.
This is especially perfect for anyone that’s chosen NOT to find out the sex of their child. I didn’t belong in that camp but many couples like to be surprised.
This design will give you inspiration for a baby girl nursery that’s anything but pink. The black and white color scheme has accents of gold for a touch of glam.
As you go through this next chapter remember to take a deep breath and enjoy the experience. It’ll go super fast even if it doesn’t seem that way right now.
This post is all about modern nursery ideas.
Modern Girl Nursery Ideas
If you’ve been following along in the journey then you know I used to be a Children’s wear designer in NYC.
My last day in the garment industry was March 28, 2019. This year was my three-year anniversary.
It’s so insane how time flies when you are having fun!
From the above visual you can get a good idea of how the space will look when all pulled together. Also how much it’ll cost you.
This modern neutral design is the perfect backdrop to keep as is or to add a pop of color.
Since I’ve been a mom for thirty-one years I was so ready for the next chapter when my last child started college in 2020.
Don’t get me wrong I’ve loved every second of being a mom but I started young. Like at sixteen so I’m excited for this “me” time.
That said back to the Neutral Modern Nursery Ideas!
Where do I start when designing a nursery?
When designing a nursery (or any space) always start by taking measurements and doing a floor plan. This should be done before you order so you know exactly what will fit in your space.
