Modern Side Table Shopping Tips
No matter which accent table style you choose it is important to always start with a floor plan of your space. I know I sound like a broken record but without the floor plan, you will not know the exact size side table you need.
This is especially important when you are shopping for a side table for a U-shape or L-shape sectional. The worst thing that can happen is your furniture gets delivered and doesn’t fit.
Trust me no one is happy when that happens!
Whether you are shopping online or in the furniture store images are deceiving. This is especially true when shopping in person.
You have to remember the lighting and scale of the store are NOT the same as the space of your home.

Commonly Asked Questions
What’s the difference between a side, end, and accent table?
Simply put the difference is the following:
Side Tables go to the side of another piece of furniture. (I know common sense but we tend to overthink things, NO?!) They typically have a larger surface area around 18″ to 26″ wide and tend to have a stronger element of style.
End Tables go at the end of a piece of furniture. They are typically smaller than side tables usually 12″ – 18″ wide and can often fit into tight spaces.
Accent Tables are not the main focus in a certain space. The term comes from the meaning of the word “accent,” which means stress, or emphasis. An accent table can be added to any room for decorative reasons.
